Main Characters

Sookie Stackhouse – 1/8 Fae, 7/8 Human (27 Years Old)

Sookie Stackhouse (Sook-e Stack-house)

Born May 24th 1982AD, Sookie is the daughter of Corbett and Michelle Stackhouse of Bon Temps, Louisiana. She has a brother named Jason, who is older than her by three years. At a young age, Sookie discovered that she was capable of hearing thoughts of people around her. This frightened her parents, especially her mother who put her through the mental health system. At the age of only 7 years old, Sookie’s parents were killed in a flash flood. Sookie and Jason were both left in the care of their grandparents Earl and Adele Stackhouse, Corbett’s parents. At some stage of Sookie’s childhood, Earl died. Sookie was sexually molested by her Great Uncle Bartlett, Adele’s brother. She feared every visit from Bartlett, being able to hear his creepy thoughts, and hid from him on one visit. When her grandmother found her, Sookie revealed her molestation and Adele cast Bartlett out of her life. Sookie found growing up difficult. Due to being able to hear everyone’s thoughts at school, Sookie was not able to concentrate properly and many of her teachers determined she was slow. Fellow students thought the same and many of the Bon Temps locals were frightened by her or looked down on her supposed lack of intelligence. Sookie had a lonely life growing up, but had a friend in Tara Thornton. Tara and Sookie were friends because Tara grew up with an alcoholic mother, Lettie Mae and was shunned by her classmates for it.

Sookie met Bill Compton, the first vampire to visit Bon Temps since vampires ‘came out of the coffin’. She was instantly drawn to Bill, as he was to her. After Bill was nearly killed by the Rattrays and saved by Sookie, the two quickly bonded over their curiosity about each other. Bill quickly realized that Sookie was more than human and Sookie could not hear Bill’s thoughts because he was a vampire. The following night, the Rattrays took revenge on Sookie. Bill intervened, saving her life and incapacitating the Rattrays. Sookie was badly injured and near death, so Bill forced her to drink his blood. Bill took Sookie to Fangtasia one night in order for her to try and find information regarding the deaths of two women in Bon Temps who frequently had sex with vampires. It was there she was introduced to Eric Northman who immediately developed an interest in her. Sookie was informed of her Fae heritage by Bill, which eased some of her worries. Sookie then offered to work for Eric, reading the minds of his employees, only to discover that he was keeping one of her best friends, Lafayette, locked up in his dungeon. She struck a deal with him that would ensure Lafayette’s safety and soon Sookie found herself in Dallas, inside the Fellowship of the Sun church, searching for a missing vampire who was later revealed to be Godric, Eric’s maker. A suicide bomber from the FOTS tried to blow up Godric’s nest however Eric shielded Sookie from the blast, taking silver for her. Eric played on her good nature and she was forced to suck silver from his chest and neck, forming a blood tie between them. Godric attempted to meet the sun the following morning however Sookie stopped him, knowing the world needed more kind and understanding vampires.

With all the drama with Dallas dealt with, Sookie returned home with Bill and he asked her to marry him. In a panic Sookie fled to the restaurant bathroom to calm herself but upon returning with her answer she discovered Bill had been taken. Immediately suspecting Eric she stormed into Fangtasia and caught an eyeful of the naked Viking. Sookie went to rescue Bill from Russell Edgington, the vampire King of Mississippi, however things didn’t go according to plan and she soon found herself being fang raped by Eric and Russell. Russell was ‘killed’ and Bill informed Sookie he would protect her even if they weren’t together. It was then Eric showed up and informed Sookie of Bill’s real presence in Bon Temps, to procure her for the vampire Queen of Louisiana. Angered by the lies and deceit Sookie threw both male vampires out of her life before disappearing to the Fae Realm for fifteen minutes. She met her granddaddy Earl there and together the two returned to the human realm only for her granddaddy to die. Her fifteen minutes had actually been a human year. Eric had bought her house and had been in the process of coercing Sookie to be his when Wiccan’s cursed him, forcing him to lose his memory. Sookie sheltered him in her home and the two soon developed a romantic relationship. Once Eric’s memories were restored it was time for Sookie to chose between her new and ever-growing love for Eric or  her remaining slight affection towards Bill. She chose Eric, of course.

Sookie is described as really helpful and has a hard time saying “no” to people. She loves surprises and is generally friendly but due to her gift people think she’s a little crazy. She’s rather naive and exceptionally sweet but is sometimes hot tempered and feisty. Her manners are impeccable and as a Christian she believes there is good inside of everyone, refusing to believe that vampires are monsters. At times she is shy and unsure of herself and often fears for the safety of others over herself. Sookie stands at 5’3 and is of slender build with long blonde hair and blue eyes.

Her first name is American (though derived from the Hebrew ‘Shoshana’) and means ‘Lily’ and her surname is American too, meaning ‘someone who lived near a steep rock or hill’

Eric Northman – Vampire (1000+ Years Old)

Eric Northman (Air-rick North-man)

Born 900AD, and turned 930AD. Eric is the vampire sheriff of Area 5 in Louisiana which encompasses Bon Temps.  He was born somewhere in Scandinavia, on the coast, during the Viking age. According to Pam he has a farm in Öland (Sweden). Eric speaks Swedish and refers to old Swedish music. He owns the vampire bar Fangtasia in Shreveport, Louisiana. Eric is 6’4″ tall and has blond hair, blue eyes. Eric used to play near the North Sea as a child. His father was a Viking chieftain and, although his father and mother wished Eric would choose a wife, he was more interested in enjoying the pleasures of unmarried life.

One night while Eric was having sex with a servant, werewolves attacked their home killing his mother and baby sister. A werewolf managed to overpower his father, taking his crown. It was given to a cloaked figure who walked off into the snowy night leaving Eric to tend to his dying father. Before Eric’s father died, he declared Eric a king and made him promise to avenge his family. He was wounded somewhere in Scandinavia and, against his wishes, his Viking companions decided to stay with him. They told Eric tales of glory and of women waiting for him in Valhalla. During the night, an unseen force murdered his comrades. A mysterious young, tattooed boy appeared and introduced himself as “Death” to the dying Eric. Having seen Eric’s strength on the battlefield, this boy, the 1,000 year old vampire Godric, offered him immortality through life as a vampire. When Eric asked what he got out of it, Godric said “Life”. With a lust for life for which he was renowned, Eric agreed and Godric turned him into a vampire.

During World War II, Godric and Eric posed as Nazi SS officers in order to infiltrate “Operation Werewolf”. In 1945, they tracked a werewolf down to a house in Augsburg, Germany. The werewolf attacked and killed an American soldier before turning on Eric, but Godric stabbed her in the arm with a bayonet, pinning her to the wall. Eric demanded to know whom her master was, but the werewolf said she would only tell them if Eric let her drink some of his blood. Godric was deeply offended by the idea, as Vampire Blood is sacred. Eric, however, did not care. He bit himself, and allowed the werewolf to feed from his wrist. She then revealed that her master is a vampire. Eric was shocked. The werewolf took advantage of his distraction, pushing Eric to the ground and attempting to stake him. Godric intervened and snapped the werewolf’s neck. Godric lectured his progeny about maintaining control of his emotions before promising to hunt the blasphemous vampire down. Shortly after this confrontation, Eric and Godric parted ways, and would not meet again for many decades. Eric acquired the position of Sheriff of Area 5 because of his age, his cunning personality and his ruthlessness. Eric has one vampire progeny named Pam who, like him, is incredibly loyal, to him in particular. Together they currently operate and own Fangtasia, a vampire nightclub in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Eric is known to be calculating yet loyal and generally willing to absolve humans that aggravate him-unless they have grievously crossed him. He is deeply loyal to both his progeny and his Maker and he has a great capacity for affection, considering vampire nature. He’s a very calm, methodical individual and is in more in control of his emotions, rarely losing his temper. When pushed, however, he has a great capacity for violence. He is unconcerned about being viewed as “the bad guy” merely seeing his actions as a means to an end. He is often secretive and can be somewhat of a trickster, but is honest and direct. He is confident enough that he doesn’t think he needs to prove himself and he has a joy of living and a sense of humor uncommon for vampires. Eric stands at 6’4 and is of muscular build with blonde hair and cerulean eyes.

His name is derived from the Old Norse word Eirkir, a compound word meaning ‘eternal ruler.’ Northman means, quite literally, ‘man from the North’

Ata Caesar – 1/3 Fae, 2/3 Human (2000+ Years Old)

 Ata Caesar (At-a See-sar)

Born on August 22, 61BC to Cleopatra VII and Julius Caesar. Ata’s father couldn’t take her back to Rome with him for fear of unrest with his people, so Ata lived with her mother on the island of Antirrhodos in Egypt, which is now submerged in the port of modern day Alexandria. At an early age she started to hear the thoughts of those around her and, unaware of the consequences, she informed her mother. This piece of information only fuelled the beliefs that Pharaoh’s were chosen by the Gods, and the people of Egypt adored the young Princess even more. Up until her 10th birthday Ata was very much alone, people found her interesting because of her gift but they were still wary of her. She started to learn how to read, write, cook and undertake queenly duties from a very young age.

When she was 10 her father returned from an excursion to Gaul, bringing with him a number of slaves. Ata was instantly drawn to a young boy, whose arms had ornate tattoo’s inked onto them. After having checked his thoughts, she decided he would be her new friend and soon their friendship blossomed. Ata found herself unable to comprehend life without Godric by her side. During her teenage years she found herself more and more romantically attached to the slave boy, but couldn’t act out her affections for fear of shaming her parents, or of him being punished. He taught her how to swim and in return she taught him how to read and write. Ata would sneak him into the palace at night and offer him a safe place to sleep, away from his abusive master. She would make sure he was well fed and, once asleep, she would stay up late at night and draw him.

Once Ata reached eighteen she decided to take the plunge and ask Godric to join her in the palace as her consort, however, she never got the chance. He never came back to see her and she couldn’t find him anywhere. Three days later her guards told her he’d died. Ata’s world crumbled from that moment onwards. Niall informed her of her royal fae heritage and everything that went along with it. On March 15 44BC, her father was murdered, her mother was quick to take up with Mark Anthony who gave her twins. Ata was furious that her mother wasn’t heartbroken and the two slowly started to drift apart. On August 12, 34BC  her mother died from an Asp bite and 11 days later Caesarion died too. Ata was left in charge of Egypt.

Several members of her household staff sought out a ‘night walker’ in order to live for eternity, to protect their Queen during her prolonged life. The High Court of Egypt ordered Ata to marry and selected a husband for her, but Ata faked her own passing on the morning of her wedding. Fleeing from Egypt with her companions, they travelled together for 1000 years before reaching Scandinavia, where two more men were turned and joined the ranks of Ata’s protectors. For another 1000 years, all 7 of them travelled the globe until they eventually settled in Las Vegas in 1960 and started work on Caesar’s Palace in 1962. The vampire King of Nevada handed Ata the position as Sheriff of Vegas due to her age and power, and she has been living in Vegas ever since.

Ata is known to be courageous, powerful, wise and beautiful. Her presence intimidates those beneath her though she shows a kindness to them that no others can rival. She is extremely loyal and loving to those who earn her respect and trust and is a fair and just woman. She has a fondness for beautiful men, as shown by her choice of lover and companions. She can speak eight languages in total and owns multiple businesses worldwide. Ata stands at 5’4 and is of slender build with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

Her first name is Egyptian for ‘Princess’ and her surname is Latin, meaning ‘blue-eyed’

Godric Nervii – Vampire (2000+ Years Old)

Godric Nervii (God-ric Ner-ve-i)

Godric was born in 60BC in Gaul, and was a member of the Nervii tribe. The Nervii were an ancient Germanic tribe and were considered one most powerful Belgic tribes; they lived in the northwestern corner of Gaul on the coast and were known to trek long distances to engage in various wars and functions. They were considered one of the most warlike of the Belgic tribes.

In 52BC, when Godric was eight, his people were part of the Belgic alliance that resisted Julius Caesar as he tried to bring Gaul under Roman rule. After the alliance broke up and some tribes surrendered, Godric’s people came very close to defeating Caesar. At the battle of the Sabis in 51BC, when he was nine, his people concealed themselves in the forests and attacked the approaching Roman column at the river. Caesar grabbed a shield, made his way to the front line, and quickly organized his forces; at the same time, the commander of the tenth legion attacked the camp where the woman and children, including Godric, sat waiting for the men to return. The two legions that had been guarding the rear of the Roman soldiers arrived and helped to turn the tide of the battle. The tribe were almost annihilated in the battle.

Godric was captured and forced into slavery, separated from his mother and carted off to Egypt where he was shown to Cleopatra along with numerous other slaves. Cleopatra’s young daughter entered the room and selected Godric as her new best friend. The two grew up together, however Godric was forced to live with his master, a cruel and sadistic man who took pleasure out of physically, mentally and sexually abusing him. He sought shelter in Ata’s bed numerous times and, upon learning this, his master revealed himself as a vampire and turned him against his will. Godric was commanded not to go to Ata, however one night he heard her anguished cries and, in dire need to get to her, he staked his Maker. This was an extremely rare occurrence in vampire history, as a progeny is usually extremely loyal to their Maker and vice versa, bound to obey their commands, and are always physically weaker than they. Thus, exactly how Godric was able to murder his maker is not known. The act got him into serious trouble with the ancient vampire community, so he fled into the wilderness to escape their justice after staying in Egypt for a little while longer to watch over Ata from afar. He woke one night to news that she had died and, after watching her sarcophagus being carried through the streets, he left Egypt.

He lived feral and alone for over 1000 years until some time in early 1000AD Godric was in Britannia, he saw the Viking, Eric Northman, taking part in a night time coastal raid. Godric was extremely impressed with Eric’s skill on the battlefield so he followed him and caught up with him the following night, killing his two surviving comrades, and offering the fatally wounded Viking immortality as a vampire before turning him. In 1793 Godric and Eric were living in Paris, France, and were good friends with a vampire serial killer named Guerra. Parting ways with Eric around 1957, Godric focused solely on his role as vampire Sheriff of Area 9 in Dallas, Texas. He eventually established a nest in Dallas, which included Stan Baker and Isabel Beaumont, who became his most trusted underlings, and whom he shared both his home and wealth with.

Believing that his 2000 year existence was a long enough life, Godric offered himself to the Fellowship of the Sun so he could meet the sun, however Eric and Sookie came to stop him. Godric decided he still wanted to meet the sun of his own free will so he went up onto the roof of the Hotel Carmilla . An emotional Eric tried to stop him but to no avail. Sookie on the other hand played on his emotions and managed to coerce him down. He left Dallas immediately, having given up his job as Sheriff, and instead ventured to Europe where he met a man selling old Egyptian artefacts. He was reunited with Ata’s personal belongings before being summoned by Niall to a meeting at Fangtasia where he was informed that Russell Edgington was free once again and that they would receive help, and surprises, in Las Vegas.

Godric is known to be softly spoken, mostly in control of his emotions, sympathetic, understanding, powerful and extremely caring. He wishes to fix the gap between vampires and humans and teach them how to live peacefully together. He is seen as peaceful and benevolent. He was once very cruel and wicked but now he is rather humble. He holds a great deal of love for his progeny and his progeny’s child, as well as towards Ata and Sookie. Godric stands at 5’6 and is of average build with short brown hair and blue eyes.

His first name is Anglo-Saxon and means ‘power of god’ while his surname is derived from his tribes name.

Pamela Swynford de Beaufort – Vampire (100+ Years Old)

Pamela “Pam” Swynford De Beaufort (Pam-eh-Laa Swyn-ford de Boh-fert)

Born 1875AD, and turned 1905AD. Pam is a vampire and the progeny of Eric Northman. Born in London, her human life ended in 1905 after being turned into a vampire by Eric Northman. After a century together, Pam is fiercely loyal to her maker, and despite her relative youth as a vampire acts as his second in command in his duties as vampire sheriff of Area 5, Louisiana. Along with Longshadow, and later Chow, she is one of Northman’s business partners at Fangtasia. As of 2008, she is the beneficiary of Northman’s will, should he ever meet the true death.

Pam was the daughter of a wealthy London businessman and his peerage wife who groomed her to be a respectable young lady of society which bored Pam to no end. She spent most of her 20’s breaking engagements and young man’s hearts. When she met Eric Northman in 1905, she was only too happy to take him up on his offer of immortality. During her early years of being a vampire, Pam had a sexual relationship with Eric. However, this apparently ended after he released her. Afterwards, the pair formed an extremely close bond, comparable to that of a father and daughter. When Eric took up the mantle of vampire sheriff of Area 5 in Louisiana under Queen Sophie-Anne, Pam became his second in command in the area.

During Eric’s period of amnesia, Pam had Sookie take care of him so as not to rouse suspicion with Bill, who was now the King of Louisiana. Bill visits Pam at Fangtasia and questions her about the whereabouts of Eric but Pam tells him she knows nothing. Discovering that Wiccan’s were behind the spell on Eric, Pam threatens the coven who placed the spell on him. Suddenly, Marnie dropped her spell book. She started chanting again in Spanish. Pam’s facial skin started to change in a decaying format and began to burn. She lifted her hand and touched her cheek, a chunk of skin coming off. She was starting to look like a corpse, she screamed and left with vampire speed.

Pam sought help from Bill on reversing Marnie’s spell, as the Vampire Healing power wasn’t able to overcome it. They captured Marnie who, while in a cell and glamored by Bill, claimed she couldn’t reverse the spell she cast on Pam’s face. Later, Pam went to a meeting with Bill and the four remaining Louisiana Sheriffs. She accidentally told the room that Eric had his memory erased during a fit of anger, something she shouldn’t know if she hasn’t seen him since he disappeared. Bill grabbed Pam and insisted she tell him where Eric is. Pam admitted that Eric was at Sookie’s, then said an apology aloud toward Eric. Pam returned to Fangtasia, where she had employed Dr. Ludwig to help cure her of her decomposing state. The doctor made her undergo a painful body peal, removing nearly all of her skin and leaving only the muscles underneath. However, Dr. Ludwig explained there she is not a Witch, and that she cannot break the curse that is causing Pam to decompose. After the events at the Festival of Tolerance Pam shows up and asks Eric how he got Antonia to break the curse, he told she didn’t, Sookie did. Eric tells her they will talk about that later.

Pam, Eric, Bill and Jessica were getting ready to blow up Moon Goddess Emporium when they were interrupted by Jason who explained that Sookie was inside and he showed them the protection spell around the building. Marnie comes out and tries to co-operate with the vampires by trading Sookie for both Bill and Eric’s lives. They agreed and Pam became angry, she grabbed the bazooka and fired a rocket to stop them. The shield stops the rocket, which explodes toward those outside the shield. Furious, Eric berated Pam for attacking Marnie with Sookie standing there, as Sookie could have been killed by the blast as well. Marnie casted a spell which caused the vampires to walk towards the shield in an attempt to kill them. The curse was broken when Sookie used her powers. Pam tried to apologize to Eric, saying she knew the rocket wouldn’t penetrate the shield. Eric, still pissed, told Pam to leave before he killed her. Shattered, Pam dashed away.

Pam is known to be extremely loyal to brother her Maker and Grandsire and blunt when explaining things. She has a morbid sense of humour with a sweet yet highly lethal charm. She can also be very cold and uncaring when dealing with people and seems apathetic to others concerns. Eric has described her as lazy and disobedient, though she is efficient. She strongly dislikes children and appears to be much more sexually interested in women than men. She believes that vampires are superior to their human counterparts. Pam stands at 5’8 (without her high-heels!) and is of slender build with long blonde hair and blue eyes.

Her first name is Greek and means “honey” and “all sweetness” while her surname is English and is derived from a very old noble family in England.

Ari Seti-Nekht – Vampire (2000+ Years Old)

Ari Seti-Nekht (Aa-ree Set-ee-Neck-t)

Born ??BC, and turned 23BC. Ari remembers very little of his human life, but he does remember the heat of the Egyptian sun, Ata’s smiling face, and the cool breeze along the shores of the River Nile. Upon his turning he joined Ata and her companions on their mission to keep Ata safe and travel the world.

For 1000 years they travelled, squatting in others homes and scrounging what they could. It was the antithesis of the life they had once been living however it was the only way they could survive now that they were vulnerable during the day. During the Viking era the group of five arrived in Scandinavia and formed a friendship with two Viking brothers, both the sons of a village Chieftain. The brothers took an instant liking to the group and became fond of Ata, her Fae-ness attracting them to her. They too sought out a ‘night walker’ and had themselves turned, allowing Ata to stake their Maker and accepting Ata as their new Maker.

Together the group travelled for another 1000 years, blending themselves into society. However it was becoming increasingly difficult to stay in the shadows and go unnoticed so on numerous occasions Ari’s presence was known. On multiple occasions when in the presence of humans he faked being the human husband of Ata, referring to the other boys as his brothers. Around vampires however it was very different. Both Ari and Khai claimed Ata as theirs in order to keep her safe and had to exchange blood frequently in order to maintain their claim. Due to the nature of the relationship they shared, the other boys were included in on the exchanges so that they would all be able to claim her should others not be present. It kept her safe and strengthened the tie they all had to one another.

Eventually they settled in Las Vegas in 1960 and started work on Caesar’s Palace in 1962. The vampire King of Nevada originally wanted to give Ari the title of Sheriff but he digressed, instead stating Ata should take the position as she was stronger and, to all intents and purposes, his Maker. Ari however became her second in command and when dealing with vampires from other territories he would take over the role of Sheriff in order to keep Ata’s power a secret. He took on a surname in order to appear friendlier to the humans he ended up in contact with.

Ari is known to be calm and confident. His age makes him powerful and he is instantly given respect whenever he enters a room. His manners are incredible due to his years working for the royal Egyptian family and he never judges people upon first meeting them. He is entrepreneurial and level-headed, able to bring new light to grim situations. He is efficient with his work and effective at organising others. He has a playful sense of humour and teases Ata mercilessly. Ari stands at 6’5 and is of muscular build with black hair and dark chocolate eyes.

His first name is Egyptian and means ‘guardian,’ but sometimes is perceived as meaning ‘companion.’ His surname is also Egyptian and means ‘set in his strength.’

Khai – Vampire (2000+ Years Old)

Khai (Kha-i)

Born 70BC, and turned 40BC. Khai was born and raised in Egypt to an Egyptian father and a Roman mother. He was the eldest of eight children, of which only three survived, including himself. His family were part of the royal guards and therefore he too had close contact with Ata from the moment she was born. Khai was given the role of Ata’s personal bodyguard during her teenage years and accompanied her wherever she went. He allowed her space when she was in Godric’s company.

Khai lived within the palace in the servants quarters. As her bodyguard he was there when she was informed of Godric’s passing and he felt deeply saddened by the loss, knowing it would affect Ata badly. Although it was not his place to offer physical comfort, as he was yet to share a strong enough relationship with her, he did offer her emotional comfort by providing her with words of reassurance during her loss. He was also with her the night that Niall arrived to inform her of her heritage and her extended life. He decided to stand by her side and cared for her when she mourned the loss of her mother, father and brother.

He sacrificed his mortal life in order to live an immortal one, to keep Ata company throughout the rest of time. He sought out a ‘night walker’ and had himself turned. Ata staked his Maker, as planned, during his dayrest and Khai returned to the palace when he rose for the night. Accepting Ata as his Maker he followed all of her orders and was rewarded with her happy smiles, singing, and sweet blood. Khai helped with the faking of Ata’s passing and the plan was perfectly executed before he fled Egypt with his new Maker and brothers.

They too sought out ‘night walkers’ and had themselves turned, allowing Ata to stake their Maker’s and accepting Ata as their new Maker.

Together the group travelled for another 1000 years, blending themselves into society. However it was becoming increasingly difficult to stay in the shadows what with humans spreading rumours and an increase in people going missing, not to mention the folklore tales going around. Although Khai was built more for defending Ata from attack, he allowed Ari to pretend around humans that he was her partner and that Khai, along with the other vampires, were his brothers. When faced with other vampires however he was quick to claim her alongside his brother in order to keep her safe. This meant an exchange of blood occurred frequently in order to maintain their claim. Khai, and the other vampires within their little nest, had taken Ata’s blood before when they had been struggling to find a meal or if it was too close to dawn for them to hunt. Due to the nature of the relationship they all shared, the other boys were included in on the exchanges so that they would all be able to claim her should others not be present. It kept her safe and strengthened the tie they all had to one another.

Eventually the group settled in Las Vegas in 1960 and started work on Caesar’s Palace in 1962. The vampire King of Nevada gave Ata the title of Sheriff and Ari became her second in command.

Khai is known to be fiercely protective of Ata, exceptionally loyal to her and her brothers, distrusting of others and his reflexes are exceptionally sharp, even by vampire standards. His reflexes make him a powerful opponent and with his age comes years of experience and wisdom. He is perfect at planning however he leaves the organisation to Ari, together they make an incredible team. He’s usually quiet and observes rather than commenting, choosing his words carefully and striking at the perfect moment. He tells jokes whenever he gets the opportunity and enjoys a good fight. Khai stands at 6’5 and is of muscular build with longish black hair and bright green eyes.

Khai is Egyptian and means ‘a royal scribe and director of soldiers’

Oeri – Vampire (2000+ Years Old)

22fd59f5f3ed9753ad0c95b54f1d347e

Oeri (Oo-err-ee)

Born 68BC, and turned 40BC. Oeri was born and raised in Egypt to an Egyptian mother and a Libyan Father. He was the only son the pair had and was the older brother to six younger sisters. From a very early age he had been fascinated with medicine and the human body and wished to be a physician. He began his studying and training at the age of 11, looking at both medical procedures and religious ceremony. Unfortunately, the medical practice of the time wasn’t particularly scientific and a lot of ailments were based on supernatural theories. Oeri had a deep understanding of the human body thanks to the mummification process. Upon hearing about the young Princess’s ability to hear the thoughts of others, Oeri applied to be her personal physician and after meeting with both Cleopatra and Ata he was hired. He swore an oath to care for Ata’s health and wellbeing.

Oeri spent plenty of time with the young Ata, gathering information about her supernatural abilities and keeping a detailed record of it, which unfortunately had to be destroyed when Ata’s heritage came to light. He was fascinated with her and continually wanted to know more. Ata was rarely sick, she never suffered from headaches or stomach cramps, even during the phases of the moon. Most of her injures that came to light were physical, a few cuts and bruises, a broken bone here and there.

As Ata entered her teenage years she started to summon Oeri to her chamber and, worrying that it would be out of line to enter her private chamber alone, he asked to meet her elsewhere. However, the young Princess was adamant that he had to visit her in her room and so he finally gave up. Once inside Ata asked him to teach her all of the different cures for injuries such as cuts, bruises and also for sleep deprivation. At first, Oeri was unsure why the young woman wanted the information however he readily gave into her request. It wasn’t until a few nights later that he caught sight of her, through the crack of her bedroom door, tending to the cuts of a slave boy with copper before giving him a small bottle of poppy water in order to help him sleep. Although intrigued, he did not ask Ata any questions and instead spoke to Khai, with whom he shared the servants quarters with. After being informed of Ata’s connection to the boy Oeri wrote down a list of medical ailments and cures before leaving it on Ata’s pillow for her to find in the morning.

With news of the death of the slave boy, Oeri found himself struggling with the amount of grief Ata was going through. Oeri attempted aromatherapy to try and purge the negative spirits out of her system however Ata informed him rather bluntly that it wasn’t working. He attempted massages in order to soothe her and while her body relaxed, her mind did not. Oeri even attempted to give Ata alcohol however she couldn’t stomach it. Eventually he settled for just keeping her company and offering her comfort whenever she needed it. The other boys seemed to have the same idea and soon a little family started to grow. Oeri was not with Ata the night Niall informed her of her heritage and prolonged life, so he was surprised when Khai approached him with the question of immortality. He was skeptical at first, not knowing the first thing of these ‘night walkers’ however his parents and sisters had recently died from sand pneumoconiosis and he had no one left. He took up the offer and had himself turned, once again relying on Ata to stake his Maker in order to free him. Oeri remained by her side as the Queen, the Prince and Ata’s father all died.

Learning of Ata’s upcoming wedding and her desire to fake her own death, he worked hard throughout the night to create a concoction that would slow her heartbeat down to a pace that would make her appear dead. Thankfully as her physician he was able to pronounce her dead himself as they had planned her death for the early hours of the morning, before the sun could come up and take him for the day. Oeri personally took her body away and hid her in an empty house, staying with her while the effects of the concoction wore off. Oeri used reeds and other materials to create a mummy-like figure and placed it within the golden sarcophagus that had been set aside for Ata. He felt terrible for faking the death of someone, for lying and using his medical knowledge to trick others, he felt like he had abused his power but he knew it had to be done.

After 300 years travelling together Oeri came across an ancient script written in Latin. Thankfully Ata was able to read it and translate it for him and he soon found himself staring at a piece of parchment that would enable Ata to be his true Maker. The process took a few weeks however the outcome was an overall success. Ata was now the Maker of himself and his brothers by blood. He could sense her location strongly, her moods were more obvious to him and his need to protect her grew immensely.

They too sought out ‘night walkers’ and had themselves turned, allowing Ata to stake their Maker’s and accepting Ata as their new Maker.

Together the group carried on their travels, blending themselves into society. Oeri readily accepted the role of the human brother when in mortal company. When faced with other vampires he was unable to claim Ata as his own, it was rare for two vampires to share a human yet alone three or more. Exchanges of blood occurred frequently in order to maintain the claim Khai and Ari had placed on Ata and to disguise the fact that she was their Maker. Ata was hurt a number of times on their travels, either by humans or other vampires (who were all killed immediately for their blood offence) and it became a natural thing for Oeri to offer Ata his blood first when she was in need of healing.

Eventually the group settled in Las Vegas in 1960 and started work on Caesar’s Palace in 1962. The vampire King of Nevada gave Ata the title of Sheriff and Ari became her second in command.

Oeri is known to be intelligent and witty, he’s charming and his bedside manners are wonderful. He enjoys laughing at Khai’s jokes and, although not necessary, exchanges blood with his brothers frequently in order to strengthen their bonds. He tends to the wounds of his brothers and to his Maker’s. Originally his touch was very clinical however after spending 2000+ years at Ata’s side his touch is more familiar now and he frequently uses it as reassure towards the petite blonde. Oeri respects vampire customs and is very traditional in his ways. He kept himself up to date with the latest medical developments however, often finds himself using the ways of old whenever something is wrong. Oeri stands at 6’3 and is somewhat lanky with brown hair and brown eyes.

Oeri is Egyptian though the meaning is unknown, in Ancient Egypt it was spelt ŒRI.

Riei – Vampire (2000+ Years Old)

Riei (Rye)

Born 65BC and turned 40BC. Riei was born and raised in Egypt to Egyptian parents. He was the eldest of three children. His mother worked for the royal family cleaning the palace and organising the servants so it was only natural for Riei, as the oldest child, to follow in her footsteps even though the job was usually given to a woman. Riei was in charge of the dining room where meals were served, the storehouse where household supplies were kept, the linen closet and the laundry, the food supply, the royal entertainers and of course the organising of the other servants. It was Riei’s job to keep the palace running smoothly and he did so effortlessly.

For the first eight years of his life he saw little of Ata, only hearing whispered rumours about her from other servants and only spotting her out and about on occasion. However, as she grew up he was given the task of dressing her to ensure she looked presentable for other royals. Riei took the task seriously and always ensured that the young Princess looked splendid. Soon his other mediocre tasks fell to the side and other servants picked them up. He no longer had to worry about the laundry or setting the table for dinner, instead he was to dress Ata every day, collect new clothes for her from weavers and to organise staff. In modern day terms he would have been considered a ‘head butler.’

When his mother died, Riei moved into the palace permanently, taking up residence in the servants quarters.

It had been early one morning when he had gone to rouse Ata from her sleep so she could dress for the day that he had learnt of Godric’s passing. Khai had informed him of the Princess’s attachment to the young slave and Riei couldn’t help but feel sorry for her, though she wanted no-ones sympathy. He offered her comfort in the form of more expensive clothes and gemstones, unsure of how to emotionally support her, so instead he showered her in the finer things of life. Ata’s love for all things shiny, expensive and sparkly stems from this.

Discovering Ata’s heritage and her extended life, he decided to stand by her side as an immortal. Seeking out a ‘night walker’ Riei allowed himself to be turned before letting Ata stake his Maker as she had done for the others. At first the pain had been terrible for him but it had subdued rather quickly as he’d been yet to make an attachment to his Maker. Ata offered herself as his new Maker and he readily took her offer already knowing she would be a great leader and take care of them all during their early years.

He cared for Ata when she mourned the loss of her mother, father and brother and he found himself with plenty to do. The palace was a jumbled mess as Ata took to power, kicking out half of the servants who infuriated her and cementing her place on the throne. Rather than holding evening meals indoors she moved them outside, claiming she felt a lot more relaxed deep inside herself during the night with only the light from the numerous fire torches illuminating the table. Little had she known Godric was actually still ‘alive’ and watching over her from a distance. Ata was a lot calmer than her mother and far more laid back and Riei found himself able to relax around her.

Riei learnt of Ata’s forced wedding as he was ordered to buy her a dress. Once her passing had been faked he left Egypt with her and his brothers, leaving behind his remaining family for his new one.

They too sought out ‘night walkers’ and had themselves turned, allowing Ata to stake their Maker’s and accepting Ata as their new Maker.

Together the group travelled for another 1000 years, blending themselves into society. As fashions changed Riei found himself in his element and took great pride in picking out suitable attires for Ata over the centuries, ensuring she was always the height of fashion. She was easy to dress and looked fabulous in practically everything. Money was easy to come by as many people carried it on them and Riei had been the first to learn how to glamour, meaning his glamour was the strongest in the group. In human company, Riei pretended to be Ari’s brother though he was unsure how they got away with it. True they were of similar build but they looked nothing like one another in the face. Knowing both Ari and Khai were stronger and well trained, Riei allowed them to claim Ata as their own in vampire company to keep her safe. This meant an exchange of blood occurred frequently in order to maintain their claim. Riei had taken Ata’s blood hundreds, if not thousands of times before just like the other boys in their growing nest and he was included with the rest of his brothers in every exchange.

Eventually, the group settled in Las Vegas in 1960 and started work on Caesar’s Palace in 1962. The vampire King of Nevada gave Ata the title of Sheriff and Ari became her second in command.

Riei is known to be fashion savvy and brutally honest, he’s easily excitable and he’s almost obsessively organised. He’s quick on the uptake and always wants to make others happy. Riei is seen as the most outgoing of the group, socialising and making friends continuously knowing how important friends in high places can be. He’s not a particularly strong fighter and is far quicker with his mind than a blade however he can defend himself just as well as any other 2000-year-old vampire. He has a lustre for life and enjoys travelling the world. Riei stands at 6’4 and is of fair build with chocolate coloured hair and hazel eyes.

Riei is Egyptian though the meaning is unknown.

Egor – Vampire (1000+ Years Old)

Egor (E-gor)

Born 890AD, and turned 921AD. Egor was born to a Viking Chieftain and his wife somewhere on the coast of Scandinavia during the Viking era. His mother and father had another child two years after him, Agmund, and the pair were close from the moment they first clapped eyes on one another. Egor was due to take over from his father when he died and had been taught from an early age how to fight and lead his people. He would often find himself teaming up with the clan in the next valley when either came under attack. It was an alliance that helped saved many lives. Although a strong warrior Egor was not the sharpest of men, he was slow on the uptake and not very well educated. He could hold conversation wonderfully but when it came to brain vs brawn, his brawn always won. He was particularly skilled with a bow and arrow. His mother and father arranged for him to marry a girl from the village, she was beautiful and kind but it wasn’t something Egor wanted. He was unruly and wild, chasing down every woman he could find, enjoying the games of cat and mouse they all seemed to want to play with him.

While out one day searching for a warm woman to take to his bed he came across Ata, her clothes a little worse for wear due to the cold and the rough sleeping conditions and immediately he felt a pull towards her. Taking her back to his home he tended to her, providing her with new, clean clothes and offering her a warm bath to remove the dirt from her skin and increase her core temperature. While bathing Ata thanked him in broken Old Norse, her grip on the language not entirely brilliant which only thrilled Egor more. Agmund returned home in time to witness the scene and informed his brother in their native tongue of his compelling urge to look after the woman in their tin bath tub. As night fell however Ata excused herself saying she needed to return to her travel companions. She thanked both men not expecting them to follow her however they did. Upon seeing Ari, Khai, Riei and Oeri rise from the dirt, fangs out, the brothers attacked them thinking they were going to harm Ata. The vampires subdued them enough and finally told them of their jobs in taking care of Ata. Egor and his brother quickly offered themselves up, wanting to join them and take care of the petite blonde too.

For Egor it was an easy decision, he didn’t wish to rule after his father, he had no desire to be involved in the politics, to be constantly living in fear of impending attacks. He felt the life they were offering him would free him from his human ties. Agmund, always the cautious of the two, took a little coercion but soon he agreed as well. With the help of Khai and Oeri the two found themselves two different ‘draugar’ and had themselves turned, allowing Ata to stake their Maker’s and take their place.

Together the group travelled for another 1000 years, blending themselves into society. Egor proudly accepted his role as Ari’s brother when in human company and when in vampire company he made sure to stand closely to Ata so he could protect her from any attacks. It was during the first 500 years together that Egor and Agmund were eventually given the information regarding Ata’s heritage and the three regularly found hours of entertainment playing ‘Guess who thought that.’ Ata would listen in on those around her and quote something to both Viking men, it was up to them to guess which mortal was thinking those thoughts.

Egor continued with his womanising ways, mastering his glamour so he could woo any woman into giving up her body and her blood and not remembering anything about it the following morning. He was always polite enough however to heal their bite wounds, not wanting anyone to get suspicious. Slowly Ata pulled him under control though. She allowed him his freedom to find beautiful woman but gave him a command that the women must come to him first and be willing to sleep with him. She wouldn’t have any women taken against their will. Even if she had not commanded him Egor would have readily accepted, wanting Ata to be happy and content.

Eventually the group settled in Las Vegas in 1960 and started work on Caesar’s Palace in 1962. The vampire King of Nevada gave Ata the title of Sheriff and Ari became her second in command.

Egor is known to be loud and boisterous, full of life and vitality and always ready for anything life throws at him. Even though he’s an impressive size he’s nimble on his feet and strong with a bow and arrow. He’s fiercely loyal of the little nest he’s a part of and still, on occasion, babies Agmund as if they were still human. He’s terribly flirtatious with anything in a skirt or dress and so charming that most find it difficult to resist him. Egor stands at 6’6 with wild blonde hair and blue eyes.

Egor is of Old Norse origin and means ‘warrior, archer’

Agmund – Vampire (1000+ Years Old)

Agmund (Ag-mund)

Born 892AD, and turned 921AD. Agmund was born to a Viking Chieftain and his wife somewhere on the coast of Scandinavia during the Viking era. His mother and father had another child, his older brother Egor, and the pair were close from the moment they first clapped eyes on one another.

Although Agmund loved his brother dearly he always felt like he was living in his shadow. His brother was due to take over from their father once he had passed and it saddened Agmund to think that the only way he would ever wear the crown was to be if both his father and his brother died. Although Egor was strong with a bow and arrow, Agmund was sharper with a sword. His slender frame allowed him to dodge attacks easily and outmanoeuvre his opponents with ease. Agmund buried himself in his studies, absorbing all the knowledge he could for fear that one day he would be left without his family there to help him and guide him. He learnt the ancient art of runes and meditated daily in order to organise his thoughts.

Although attractive in his own right, it was his brother who received all of the female attention and while this didn’t initially bother him it soon started to weigh on his conscious as the years ticked by. He went out on night or a walk to clear his mind in order to push aside the horrible thoughts he was having about his brother and his womanising ways. He was berating himself for thinking such things about the man who had helped him grow up to be the person he was. His mother and father were always far too busy for him and he was usually left to his own devices.

Agmund returned home in time to witness a petite blonde he had never seen before in the bath tub, his brother sat beside her. Before she had even turned around he had felt a compulsion to care for her, the need to protect her and look out for her. He informed his brother in their native tongue of his compelling urge to look after the woman in their tin bath tub. As night fell however the girl excused herself saying she needed to return to her travel companions. She thanked both men not expecting them to follow her however they did. Egor was curious as to whom her companions were and Agmund assumed he was checking out the competition. He accompanied his brother knowing it was dangerous for them to go out at night alone given their standing within the clan. Upon seeing Ari, Khai, Riei and Oeri rise from the dirt, fangs out, both he and Egor attacked them thinking they were going to harm the young woman. The vampires subdued them enough and finally told them of their jobs in taking care of Ata. Both Agmund and Egor quickly offered themselves up, wanting to join them and take care of the petite blonde too.

Agmund had thought about it for a little while longer than his brother. If they left and took immortal lives they may have to witness the death of their parents and the fall of their clan, however Egor informed him their mother was pregnant once again and the new child would take over. Deciding to join his brother he picked a new immortal life. With the help of Khai and Oeri the two found themselves two different ‘draugar’ and had themselves turned, allowing Ata to stake their Maker’s and take their place.

Together the group travelled for another 1000 years, blending themselves into society. Agmund accepted his role as Ari’s brother when in human company, feeling happy with his new, larger family. When in vampire company he made sure to stand on one side of Ata with Egor on the other, protecting her from any attacks. It was during the first 500 years together that both he and Egor were eventually given the information regarding Ata’s heritage and the three regularly found hours of entertainment playing ‘Guess who thought that.’ Ata would listen in on those around her and quote something to both Viking men, it was up to them to guess which mortal was thinking those thoughts.

Eventually the group settled in Las Vegas in 1960 and started work on Caesar’s Palace in 1962. The vampire King of Nevada gave Ata the title of Sheriff and Ari became her second in command.

Agmund is known to be reserved and somewhat shy, he’s a fast thinker and his mind is constantly whirring with hundreds of possible ideas and outcomes for every situation known to man. He’s loyal but in a subtle manner. Rather than brandishing a sword he would rather stand just a little bit closer to Ata and allow a small hint of fang to peak from beneath his lips. He refers to his handmade runes frequently, the one thing he brought with him from his human life, and uses them twice a week with Ata. He’s a keen listener and an avid storyteller. He’s fond of humans in the sense that they are amusing to him and he enjoys watching them take on new challenges, he enjoys the company of human children in the sense that their naivety and innocent outlook on life is strangely reliving to him. Their lack of prejudice gave him hope for the future.

Agmund is of Old Norse origin and means ‘protector with the sword’

  1. Whoa! I love their bio’s and I completely agree with Pam Ata does surround herself with men that are easy on the eyes! 😉

  2. I’m not sure if you have picked your Niall yet and I know he is suppose to have all his beauty left but ever since I read of Niall in Ms. Harris’s books I’ve always imagined him as “Gandalf-esque” The character from Lord of the Rings (which by the way I can stand the books or movies) and as I was reading more and more of him everywhere between FF and the web I still picture him that way. I posted a pic I’m talking about on my wordpress blog at iluvfangs.wordpress.com….I love your story!!!!!!!!!!!!
